My main WHY may sound little ridiculous to you, but the truth being, I just flat fell in love with Mr David Wood and Mr David Sharpe!

Yapp, that´s right. I fell in love like a teenager. Now, you may contradict me of the sanity of joining a network marketing company based on love…..?……but the truth is that all of my life I´ve been making decisions based on an intellectual dialogue with myself (and perhaps also with others for advice in the matter) and where have they gotten me?

Have they gotten me rich? Have they brought me any closer to making my dreams come true? Have they made me happy? Have they empowered me?

No, no, no and again no!

Well yes, of course my decisions based on “thinking” have given me a lot of knowledge. Knowledge about myself and also a lot of knowledge about internet marketing (since I´ve joined and “un – joined” a number of systems), and I´ve been educated in the world wide web).

I wasn´t even sceptical for a second. Strange, isn´t it?

Ok, I know that love isn´t the answer to everything. (Or is it?)

My #2 Reason For Joining the Empower Network (truth be told)

My second reason (or I suppose all the reasons are mixed together) was the “craziness”, the energy and the concern that I picked up from both David Wood and David Sharpe. I fell in love with the idea that you can be just you (crazy or not) and still be successful in marketing online. You don´t have to fit into a mold.

I have heard many criticizing the “naked guy by the pool” (wich is the picture of David Wood on the pre-set blog), a remark that perhaps says more about the person remarking, than of David Wood with no shirt.

You see, I think we all have a “crazy” subpersonality, that we keep well hidden behind shirt a tie (dress and high heels) that the “naked guy” touches on to. That picture of him awakens something deep within us……..

And once you get to “know” the person behind that image and realize that his intelligence and knowledge in the marketing industry (and probably in anything he pust his head into) goes beyond anything you´ve ever seen, you´ll soon re-evalute your first impression.

My opinion (strictly personal of course) is that both the Davids “humanity”, ie being “real” people, attracts both the little person in me as well as my own “crazy” personality (wich I´m certain we all have).

They bring out the “anything is possible”- feeling. All you have to do is to be yourself. No matter if your´a “shirt and tie” or “naked by the pool” – type of person.

This has nothing to do with your skills, your knowledge base or your potential.

It´s a reminder that it´s what´s within that counts. Right?

Meeting this abundance of energy, humour, hope, love and authentic care for others was the second big reason for my “falling in love”.

More, meeting two people that so openly told their stories about their struggles to reach where they are today, enabled me to identify and relate to my own story, in a deeper sense.

A Quick Personal Review (my hunt for freedom)

I´ve done my good share of struggling online. And offline too, for that matter!

No need to mention names of companies or amounts of money gone down the drain, but I´ve done a good deal of efforts in my hunt for my passion in creating freedom.

One investement after the other. House full of products. Meetings. Convents.

Handing out flyers, filling peoples mailboxes with flyers (running up and down 9 floor buildings), homeparties and nagging friends and family (it´s a wonder they still love me).

In the rearview mirror, I understand I had no idea of what I was doing.

No idea of purpose, visions or goals. Personal development was not on the map.

I gave up, over and over again (don´t EVER say failure because it´s ALL an education), because my vision was so foggy. I had nothing to hold on to.

I turned to the internet and it was all like a déja-vu experience. Paying, learning and not really knowing where I was going (I still hadn´t checked in with myself, deep down) and giving up. Again! Only not to make a dime!

I was getting really down (how come “everyone else” made it and not me?) and I was feeling as if I was to stupid to “make” it online?

Time to get a J.O.B………………..!?

David Wood By The Pool

Somehwere around this time I find David Wood (like a mermaid) with his wife Ashley by the pool, claiming:

“You can make 100% commissions instantly deposited into your bank account. Just do as your told and don´t be a wussy”

And I fell. Deep (almost as if I was IN the pool) and unreasonably in love in an instant!

Did it sound to good to be true?

It did. Sort of. And things that sound to good to be true, usually are (I thought to myself), and joined!
